How to delete everything

Sign in at smriti.care, with Google or with a one-time code sent to your phone number:

• Open Settings, and at the foot choose Stop or delete everything.
• Choose Delete everything, then type the one word it asks you for. That step expires ten minutes after you ask for it.
• Erasure begins immediately, runs automatically, and finishes within 24 hours. Confirming signs you out.

What gets erased

DELETE is a real erasure, not a hide. It removes, in this order:

• The digital copy of your voice held at our voice partner, Inworld AI.
• Your stored voice recordings, and any older generated audio still on file.
• Every photograph you sent us, and every paper you asked us to keep.
• Your name, your loved one’s name and number, what you told us in your recordings, and delivery records in our database.

What is kept, and why

What survives is three things. The log of your consents, given and withdrawn: Indian data-protection law expects us to be able to demonstrate both. The record that you asked for deletion and that it ran, kept as counts only. And your phone number on the closed record, kept as a marker so a later message from that number starts afresh from the consent notice and never revives anything. None of it contains voice data or message content.

If you can no longer use the chat

Lost access to the phone number you signed up with? Write to us at the contact address at the bottom of this page from any channel, tell us the number you used, and we will verify it is you and run the same erasure by hand.

If you are only on the waiting list

A waiting list entry is not an account, so the steps above do not reach it and signing in will not show it to you. To come off the list, write to the contact address at the bottom of this page from the address you signed up with, and we delete the entry. Nothing on that list is passed to anyone else.

Want a pause instead?

If you only want the messages to stop, open Settings in the app and choose Stop or delete everything, then Stop everything now. Everything pauses the moment you tap it and nothing is deleted. They stay paused until you start them again yourself, on the same screen or from Schedule; they never restart on their own.
