Smriti and other daily voice message tools for memory loss

Several tools now play a familiar voice to a parent with memory loss. They differ in how the voice is made, who writes each message, and what your parent has to have or do. This page sets them side by side, using what each product’s own website said on 23 September 2026.

Which one fits your family?

If you want to record every message yourself, a tool that plays your own recordings, such as Tochie or DementiaBuddy, keeps the voice entirely real. You write and record each one.

If your parent does not use a phone at all, a dedicated speaker or an always-on tablet, such as Tochie, Zoola or Carelu, needs nothing from them.

If you want a back-and-forth conversation rather than a message, KindredMind is built around calls.

If you want a short message in your voice every morning without writing it yourself, in Hindi or English, on the phone your parent already has, that is what Smriti does.
